§ 51.54. Contributing to the delinquency of a child.

  • (a)

    Delinquent Child Defined. For purposes of this Section a delinquent child is any boy or girl who before his or her 19th birthday has violated or attempted to violate any federal or state law or municipal ordinance.

    (b)

    Contributing Unlawful. Any person who knowingly or willingly causes, aids or encourages any boy or girl to be or to become a delinquent child, or who knowingly or willfully does acts which directly tend to render any such child so delinquent is guilty of the offense of contributing to the delinquency of children.

    (c)

    Penalty. Any person found guilty of a violation of the provisions of this Section shall be fined not less than twenty-five dollars ($25.00) nor more than five hundred dollars ($500.00) for each violation.
